ANALISIS STABILITAS DAN PERAN SEKTOR PERTANIAN TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN EKONOMI (Studi Kasus Pada Kabupaten Probolinggo)

Abstract

This paper aims to look  the stability of agriculture sector compare with other sectors and to look how important this sector in Probolinggo regency for creating economic growth in this regency. Then, to undestand policies about agriculture development have been made by local goverments to develop this agriculture.Using four analysis, they are variabilty, LQ, Shift Share, Overlay and then describe local government strategies to reach purpose of this paper. The result shows that agiculture is less stable than tertiary sectors (except trade, hotel, and restaurant sector), but more stable than secondary sectors (except electricity, gas, and water sector). Agriculture has a key role as a  economic growth machine in Probolinggo regency, can be look  from contribution; growth, comparative and competitive advantage. Local goverments development strategies shows that agriculture sector is development priority in Probolinggo regency, although still has some problems that it needs  solutions.
